Acer Aspire Timeline 5810T features a 15.6-inch widescreen display with aspect ratio of 16:9 and resolution of 1366 x 768 px. The light and thin notebook is pretty travel-friendly. Lid and body of the Aspire 5810T is extremely attractive with metallic grey finish with white body. But, with good looks, Acer has managed to keep its weight to mere 2.4kg.
The best picture of the mainstream notebook is its long-time battery. Acer is one of the top companies in the market as far as battery is concerned. The Lithium-ion battery will last for about four hours. The notebook is powered by 1.6GHz Intel Core2 Duo U9600 processor with 3GB of DDR2 memory. Intel GMA 4500HD graphics technology with shared memory is not meant for hardcore gaming, but HD playback will look great. Keyboard is a little cramped and not recommended for long-time use at a stretch. It takes some time to get used to small buttons.
Internal hard drive of 300GB is a bit lesser than what its competitors have to offer. Windows Vista Home Premium comes preloaded with the notebook. Other features of the notebook include IEEE 802.11b/g/n support, HDMI and VGA pots, 1.3MP webcam, a 5-in-1 memory card reader and four high-speed USB 2.0 ports.
Overall speaking, Acer Aspire Timeline 5810T may not be a power-packed laptop, but it is definitely having entertainment-oriented configuration and an excellent battery life. Priced at £560, the laptop is definitely worth the money.
