Bit. Trip Runner2 Might Come To The Wii U

14 January 2012: Ever since the announcement was made in October that the Bit.Trip Runner2 would be available for PlayStation network as well as Xbox Live Arcade, fans of the game have been looking forward to an announcement from Nintendo. However, the wind has been blowing now hot now cold and nothing definite.

However, Alex Neuse, the developer at Gaijan Games, said that while fiddling around with the Wii U developer Kit, they did wonder if the Runner2 could be brought to the Wii U. Fans are sure that Nintendo would not like to lose their fan base and want Gaijan Games to do their very best even if it is a small possibility.

While the Bit. Trip Runner2, the next in line of the very popular Bit.Trip series, had been ruled out for WiiWare because the game had some technical issues such as the fact that it had had an HD overhaul, WiiWare the developers would not be able to support as it did not have enough power for it. If there was a real chance that the console had enough power, they would definitely have brought the game to WiiWare, says Neuse.

However, fans of Nintendo Wii accessories and fans of the Bit.trip series need not be totally disappointed as Alex Neuse has at least admitted to considering Bit.Trip Runner2 for the Wii U. For Wii fans, it is a ray of hope that they want to cling on to and are sure it will lead to Runner2 on Wii U if not on WiiWare. Also, the fact that Neuse said that they cannot make an official announcement as yet, according to fans, means that something is brewing and all fans hope that it will be in the direction they want.
