The game begins where the last one left off. Black Plague is the sequel to Overture where in the end our hero Philip was left underground in a dark dungeon. The game is superbly made with the right dosage of reality.
Here the laws of physics too apply like in Overture and that is the unique thing about the game. Unlike other games in this genre, there are no alternate reality rules and strange logics; the game rests on the simple applications of common sense. There are no unbelievable weapons or super powers, just the simple mission of tumbling through the dark dungeon trying to reach to safety.
All the actions that you would be required to perform are just like in real life. The way you open the door in the real world is how you will do it in the game- by turning the doorknob. Puzzles and other actions in the game are also realistic and can be done with things lying around you and just require a little bit of logic.
The visuals are so engrossing that you actually feel like you are trapped in a dungeon and the sound effects are also amazingly precise and spooky enough to keep you on the edge of your seat.
The only problem is that the game ends quite abruptly, quite like its predecessor and leaves you wanting more. But apart from that, the game is an awesome adventure all the way.
