All the digital cameras have a camera flash. The camera flash light can be defined as the light that flicks when you a capture a picture with the help of a camera lens.  Some cameras allow the external camera flash unit to be used to get the desired effects. The cameras that use external camera flash units also allow the device to be attached mechanically. Some of the camera flash units in digital cameras can be attached via a cable and the camera can be placed on a tripod to get the desired effects in the pictures.

The camera flash unit are synchronized and controlled by the digital camera. The digital camera flash units also have some disadvantages associated with them. There is a limit to the amount of light that a camera flash unit can emit. Usually the internal camera flash units have a shorter range to emit light than the external camera flash units.  Therefore, if the object to be clicked falls outside the range of this camera flash, the camera flash will not be effective and you will get a dark picture. In contrast, if the camera flash unit emits too much of light, the entire image will be washed pout and you will not the desired image.
