From the world’s largest manufacturer of hard drives and storage solutions, the new portable version is equally plausible. Three years before the launch of FreeAgent™ flagship products in 2008, Seagate were arguably the first ones to come up with portable memory innovation with their 5GB ‘Pocket Hard Drive’ in 2005. The first FreeAgent™ Hard Drive Go could store upto 250GB of data. One of the major reasons behind Seagate’s launch in retail market with consumer memory products was its acquisition of Maxtor in May 2006. It not only made mass production of retail storage solutions viable, but also changed a few technical aspects gradually like replacing the Memeo Autobackup with Seagate Manager, the revamped avatar of Maxtor Manager backup software mainly used for their One Touch series of external hard drives.
We have picked the most cutting edge member from FreeAgent™ brand for review today.
