Fujifilm FinePix Real 3D

The upcoming 10 megapixel camera from Fujifilm will cost buyers about $600 when it arrives in the US and European markets this September. The announced price of the camera is about twice the price of a comparable 2D variant.

The Fine Pix Real 3D features two lenses separated by a very small distance. The camera can snap two distinct frames simultaneously, giving the image a real-time 3D effect.

According to market experts, Fujifilm is taking considerable risk by pricing the product at $600. It will be really interesting to see how much the buyers will pay for a 3D image camera. The camera is designed exclusively for professional photographers and rich guys who travel a lot.

The camera features two regular lenses-one on right and the other on left. If the photographers wish to capture standard 2D photos, they can shut off the right side lens and the camera turns into a standard 10MP 2D camera. The images generated by this method can be viewed on all multimedia devices like mobile, computer, etc without needing any additional hardware support.

In the digital camera market which sells about 128 million units per year, Fujifilm holds a patent for 3D images technology. The US, Europe and Japanese markets are the best result-oriented markets with about 80 to 90% penetration. Fujifilm believes that they can provide a whole-new experience to the photographers willing to experiment. Having immense faith in the technology, they expect good returns from the market.
