Since computers for the home exploded onto the market some years ago, it was only a matter of time before the computer controlled our environment in the home. The New Cortexa touchscreen designed by Smarthome has come up with a touch tablet that controls the heating, the air conditioning, the lights, and indeed anything else that can be linked to the system and all from one small tablet that is less than fifteen inches square.

The good thing is that some of the systems can even be controlled remotely which means a warm or cool house to come home to, with perhaps the meal already cooked. What a dream!
Going green is also de rigor these days and what better way than to use water as power? The Water Powered Clock by Green Stamp has some stylish electronic clocks that run on water.

Merely by filling up the clock with fresh water every six months or so, the clock keeps going and does not use the normal batteries that cause so many problems in the environment. This is also a great way to teach the kids to go ‘green’.
Lastly, for an extremely colorful look at the night sky, the Star Laser projector sends out the galaxy into any room in the house. This gadget is great for teaching the children about outer space but also quite stylish for bedrooms, gatherings or just for fun.

It can project the images with or without clouds and is a truly fascinating sight.
