Keyboards nowadays are wired and can be pulled away from the system only for a very short distance. The Bluetooth Keyboard is wireless and can be used for about 20 to 25 feet away from the system. This makes the Bluetooth Keyboard unique and it comes under the luxury class of electronic gadgets. But the main problem with Bluetooth Keyboard is that the signal is weak and some letters typed do not reach the system properly. From the time Bluetooth was introduced, it is being implemented in almost all devices. Thus the Bluetooth Keyboard evolved.
Bluetooth in general is a wireless network. Data and voice signal are transmitted without the use of wires. In Bluetooth Keyboard, the keyboard consists of the Bluetooth transmitter and the system requires having Bluetooth receiver. When a key is pressed on the Bluetooth Keyboard, the electrical signals are converted into digital signals and the Bluetooth transmitter transmits the digital signal. The Bluetooth receiver in the system receives the digital signal, and decodes the signal to the key pressed and provides the corresponding output. But before that, the Bluetooth Keyboard and the system must be connected in a wireless network in which the keyboard and the system must identify each other. In same way Bluetooth Keyboards can be used to type on several systems at the same time, by connecting a number of systems in the Bluetooth network.
