From the makers of Frequency and Amplitude comes another rhythm game that undoubtedly has a rock feel to it. This is a game for rock and roll lovers and rhythm gamers alike. In this single player game the user is in charge of all four track- bass, drums, vocals and guitar. To keep your band mates on the stage you have to constantly shuffle your time between these four tracks to keep your gig running.
In one mode called the World Tour mode, players can make and name their own four member band, decide playing venues and the look of the band members. You can purchase clothes and accessories and create your own style that mirrors your brand of music. Your journey begins with playing at small pubs and bars and you slowly move on to doing your own big time gig.
The soundtrack of Rock Band Unplugged ranges from all genres of rock and are all master recordings. There is a huge playlist to choose from and the only pre requisite is that you have a good speaker to enjoy the song making process. You can also buy songs from the Playstation Store.
Rock Band Unplugged makes you feel like you are actually in the middle of a rock album debut making process. The only thing that could have made the course of events more interesting and painless was a multiplayer interface. Being in a band with multiple instruments and band mates, a multiplayer mode seems like a reasonable demand.
