Remember those days when you had to keep heading back to a photo studio to get your camara reel developed before you can look at your pictures? Well, we do, vividly, since it wasn’t quite that long ago. The point we’re trying to make here is how much the memory cards have changed in such a short time. Some might even call memory cards a revolution.
Not just with cameras but with almost every device that needs to store data, has been completely redesigned to use these little storage devices that has come to be called as memory cards. Some encyclopedias define it as such – a memory card or flash memory card is a solid-state electronic flash memory data storage device capable of storing digital contents. There are several types of memory cards you can find in the market like a compact memory card (not popularly used), SD memory card, mini SD memory card, and micro SD memory card with micro SD card being the smallest of the ones mentioned above. But how much memory do you really need from your memory card or flash card?
We suggest at least a 2 GB memory card for your photography needs but even this would fill up pretty quickly if you are an avid photographer or if your camera creates high quality images. It is really not worth buying memory cards that provide memory less than 2 GB.
