Mirror’s Edge – PC games

Mirror’s Edge is the modern interpretation of an old plat-former. The interesting twist in Mirror’s Edge is that you play from the view of a first person and has a crisp visual decor. Unlike its predecessors, Mirror’s Edge is more about momentum. Connecting your moves in a flawless manner is exciting and satisfying. Unfortunately, some gamers, frustrated by the trial and error of the game’s design may give up.

The game consists of runners that form an underground network of couriers, transporting sensitive information. You play Faith. The story is about Faith’s sister, a cop who is framed for murder. Next, Faith is running to expose the conspiracy behind the murder and clear her sister’s name.

You gain speed while running and rope-in a number of moves. The apparently impossible stunts are cool to accomplish but it makes you want to see what Faith looks like when she pulls it off.

Mirror’s Edge has an impressive art design making it a game of visual contrasts, wherein, white surroundings contrast with flamboyant colors.

For a game that relies on so much forward momentum, Mirror’s Edge sometimes can arrest the pace because of the trial-and-error game-play. It’s best to run past the armed enemies as they further complicate things. Some annoying heavy scenarios require careful planning.  Sadly, the gunplay is loose and unfulfilling.

The visuals are brusque. Sound effects are brilliant and have an authentic feel that raise speed and tension. The voice acting is remarkable, but the soundtrack takes the cake.

At times, Mirror’s Edge is brisk, confusing, yet, rewarding. It isn’t everybody’s cup of tea, though. For a game that holds rapidity in high regard, Mirror’s, often fails to appease. There is tremendous amount of trial and error. The jumping puzzles are restricted. But even with all of its eccentricity, this game is worth every bit of action. The flawless runs charge the game. The visual design is clear and prominent. Alongside, incredible music and sound effects.
