Nokia Mail on Ovi beta public version goes live
Mail on Ovi, the free email account from Nokia is live as per a press release dated 22nd December 2008. It can be set up directly on your Nokia phone and doesn’t need a PC for startup. Users of Nokia Series 40 devices can use this service. In its beta, the mail service supports 12 different languages. Senior VP Tom Furlong overseeing Consumer Messaging initiatives said, ‘We’re creating mindset shift with mobile messaging. Mail on Ovi is the first ever email service which allows people to create an account directly on their mobile phone and start using it right away.’
