Top 3 Netbooks-Review

Today, BlogBits team will review three of the hottest selling netbooks on the market, the Acer Aspire One, MSI Wind, and the Asus Eee PC 1000H.

Acer Aspire One

Unlike the other netbooks, the Aspire One has a decently sized, firm and easy to use keyboard. The small portable frame has everything you need in it; a 512 MB RAM, a 1.6GHz Atom CPU, an 8GB SSD storage device and an 802.11g/b wireless card and a webcam; and its cheap.  The 8.9” screen outputs a standard 1024X600 resolution and is powered by a three cell Li-ion battery that runs a 2200mAH. The unit that weighs about only two pounds has three USB ports, an SD card reader, an Ethernet port and a VGA-out.
The Acer Aspire One uses a custom version of Linux called Linpus Linux Lite. It comes along with the full suite Open Office. It also has media players that play .MP3, .WMAs and most of the other formats. It offers you eleven games like Tetris, Puzzle Bobble and Mario Clone, Volleyball, Mah-jong. The Help files and quick-search bar are little touches that give the Acer Aspire the extra edge.
Lasting for only around two and half hours, the battery life might be an issue. One more place where the Acer Aspire suffers is in the extras department. It would have been great to have a container to hold it.
Overall the Aspire One does a good job of offering great performance and usability. Even though it has a few drawbacks, it is definitely a very attractive looking subnotebook.

MSI Wind

A small 10-inch netbook, the MSI wind is turning a lot of heads, not just with a reasonable price but also a smart design. With an 80GB hard drive, the netbook arrives with WindowsXP and uses Intel’s Atom processor. Therefore it has reasonable power and an extra battery life over a more power demanding processor.
The build is solid and reliable, and typing on it is pleasant thanks to its larger frame. The near full sized keyboard has been one of its strongest selling points. It has a reasonable sized track pad with a rocker button below, instead of the preferred dual buttons. The LCD looks great with LED backlighting and a resolution of 1024X600 looks good enough for reading on the web as well as multitasking.
Its life was limited to about two hours, as it was only available with the three cell battery initially. Now, you could increase the life to around 4+ hours by upgrading it to 6-cell battery.
The Wind has a heavy LCD which tips backwards when open. The pretty matching case is soft from the inside and the netbook could just slip out if you are not careful about it.
The MSI Wind is surely one of the best devices you could buy unless you are looking for a special request like an SSD, which is not available.

The Asus Eee PC 1000H

This 10-inch screen netbook with a 6-cell battery claims a life of around 7 hours.  A huge device with a fat hard drive and a keyboard that’s almost full size does not quite give it a subnotebook look. The 1000H includes the Intel’s Wi-Fi AGN LAN chip, which offers the connectivity of 802.11nWi-Fi spec. It also has an integrated Bluetooth, letting you connect with your other Bluetooth devices. The 3.2 pound netbook has 3 USB ports, a VGA output for connecting to a monitor and a built-in microphone/Webcam.
The comfortable keyboard is one of the best among netbooks. The touch pad is also pretty large and supports a bunch of controls like you can use two fingers to scroll up and down Web pages.
In short, Asus is now leading the netbooks with a small but a strong
