Nintendo 3DS: Nintendo Working On New Causal Games For Nintendo 3DS

29, October 2011: Satoru Iwata, the Nintendo President, has made an announcement that the company intends to create new titles for the casual games especially for those consumers who are not interested in video games. The company is working hard to achieve this aim and will hope to see the new games out by the next fiscal year.

The casual games the company is talking about making are going to be like Wii sports and Fit Brain Training which are aimed at getting more people to buy the 3DS and its accompanying Nintendo DS accessories. Plunging sales have obviously brought about this thinking. This is the reason that Nintendo is developing new genres of the software to target a newer audience who could be of any age and gender and who may not really have any gaming experience.

Nintendo have announced on their financial page site that they mean to launch products that will not only surprise but will prove to be meaningful additions for public consumption. The Company is set to develop products that will be an integration of their software and hardware. They intend to focus less on gamers and more on the other consumers who would like to play some other kinds of games.

This diversification is mainly aimed at to get more sales for their Nintendo 3DS which has not had many sales so far. If the casual games along with their Nintendo DS accessories are well made then they will succeed in bringing about larger sales figures for the 3DS and newer people into buying the 3DS. This tactic proved to be very successful with the sale of the Wii and is likely to garner third party support too and more games on the anvil.
