Panasonic have come out with the world’s longest lasting AA battery, so much so that this feat is officially recognized by the Guinness World Records. • At the time of forming the negative electrode, the density of the electrode material is increased, whereas, while forming the positive electrode the density of the electrode material is decreased.
• Panasonic has added some amount of Titanium Oxyhydroxide to the standard materials Graphite and Manganese Dioxide used in forming the positive electrodes. The addition of Titanium Oxyhydroxide, increases the amount of discharge.

With the launch of Evolta, Panasonic is most likely to shift all its focus from the oxy-ride batteries to the Evolta because the Evolta’s high performance is no match for the oxy-ride battery and also the Evolta is only 4-5% more expensive than the oxy-ride batteries.
