Samsung have announced their new ultra-portable camcorder model HMX-U10 that has HD-recording facility. The camcorder also lets users take 10 megapixel still photos when not using video mode. HMX-U10 also features an essential one-touch “upload” button that lets your directly upload videos to YouTube over a fast internet connection.
Dimensions of the camcorder are 56mm x 103mm x 15.5mm and weighs just 95 grams including the battery. The HMX-U10 has an ultra-compact ergonomic design that breaks the long tradition of pocket camcorders. The sleek design features wave-designed front side of the body inclined at seven degrees, providing users a more comfortable grip and reducing stress.
The camcorder provides full-HD videos with 1920×1080 resolution. The CMOS sensor provides crystal-clear still shots with 10 megapixel resolution. Also, a two-inch LCD screen is good enough to review the images and videos on the camcorder itself.
Unique features of the camcorder include Samsung’s built-in intelli-studio software which lets you convert any computer into a mobile studio. The software helps you with ability to edit and play your videos without any additional software installed. Also featured in the camcorder is the Animated Thumbnail feature which simplifies video clips indexing. Thumbnail for each video is displayed as a short animated playback which gives users a better understanding of the content.
The Samsung HMX-U10 is expected to be available at all leading online retail stores from September this year. Overall, the camcorder with a lot of new features will definitely be a surprise package.
