It’s awards galore for SanDisk. Recently it was announced that SanDisk had been named an International CES Innovations 2009 Design and Engineering Awards Honoree for its 16GB micro SDHC and Memory Stick Micro M2 mobile phone memory cards. This is a very prestigious award and is only given for the most outstanding, cutting edge designs and engineering in consumer electronics. It is judged by independent industrial designers, engineers and members of the trade press so you know the award actually means something and that high standards can be assured, it’s not just given without thought.
Currently SanDisk’s massive 16GB micro SDHC and M2 memory cards are the world’s largest removable storage capacity for mobile phones. That’s right an enormous 16GB of memory on a memory card the size of a fingernail. This generous capacity will also mobile phone users to take full advantage of the storage intensive features that can be found on most of today’s modern mobile phones and these are features we used all the time and expect to find on our phones. Features such as music and video playback, photo and video recording functions, gaming and GPS applications. The 16GB microSDHC and M2 memory cards are not just for mobile phones they can also be used in a number of other compatible devices such as video cameras, GPS receivers, or MP3 players with microSD slots such as SanDisk’s Sansa players.
For those of you who are lucky enough to be going away during the next couple of weeks you might get a chance to see the SanDisk’s 16GB microSDHC and M2 mobile phone memory cards being demonstrated. That is as long as you are going on holiday in Las Vegas. The two mobile memory cards will be on show at the 2009 International CES in South Hall # 30659, which runs January 8-11, 2009 in Las Vegas.
