Sony DSC-T77 Review

For the post today, BlogBits Team had a good enough look at the latest talk-of-the-Sony-town DSC-T77, supposedly the sleekest, slimest thing that ever happened to the CyberShot series. For one thing it comes dressed in five different colours to suit one and all, and for other it is so tiny, just slips in the pocket as easily as a mobile phone! Its the successor to the well received T70. T70 made an impact with gadget-lovers for its touch-sensitive controls and smile-shutter feature which waits until the subject smiles before automatically taking the shot. Sony has enhanced these features for T77 while adding a better zoom and slimmer body.

With 94×57x15mm dimensions and 151g weight, battery included , the Cyber-shot T77 looks like T70 from front view, but is much slimmer; no wonder Sony claims it’s the thinnest camera to feature a 4x optical zoom range-slim enough to slip into skinny jeans pocket!

Like other Cyber-shot T models, the T77 has a slide front panel  to power the camera on and off, while protecting the lens. The metal body and flip mechanism are well-built, but there’s not much to hold the camera when in use. At the back there’s a small metal thumb rest with vertical ridges for grip. While its hard to hold in one hand, you could block the lens while holding with both hands.

What makes T77 a real upgrade over T70 is its remarkeable optical range 4x equivalent to 35-140mm – which is comfortably longer than before.

Over to the official features for the Camera.
