The AW170Y/Q is powered by 2.53GHz Core 2 Duo T9400 CPU that is coupled with a dual hard drive array (RAID Level 0) and a 4GB RAM. The Vaio AW170Y/Q has a shiny, piano-black case that opens to reveal a subdued, classic matte-black interior, a gargantuan wide-screen display, and a full-size keyboard with Chiclet-style separation. A row of touch-sensitive media buttons and sleek speaker grille are placed above the keyboard, and a wide wrist rest that is textured to feel like leather, frames the touchpad. The Vaio AW170Y/Q has a stylish design with a hardware wireless on/off switch mounted to the front of the system, easily manipulated volume buttons, and a nice effect that fades the screen up when returning from sleep mode.
