Watchmen – The end is nigh: Review

Want some action? Here is a game for that lets you attack, block, and throw your enemies off a ledge.

XBOX 360 Watchmen- The end is nigh: Story-Line

The city is in grave danger and needs a saviour; the Underboss has broken out of prison. You have to face a number of bad guys to get to him. As you move forward, you will encounter tougher thugs and lowlife, and you have to fight hard to bring them down. Let us warn you, you won’t survive if you are surrounded by a group and do not use your set of special moves to get out of difficult situations.

XBOX 360:  Watchem: the end is nigh – The Gameplay

This XBOX 360 game is designed in a manner that allows you to play as Rorschach or as Nite Owl at any given time. Other than the basic attacks, counter attacks, combos, throws, and finishers, the playable characters have a few other special tricks that can be used. Rorschach can hold onto weapons like a crowbar or a knife. He has the ability to do a short bull rush or freak out and do a lot of damage for a while. He can get rough and break skulls using whatever weapon is lying around. Nite Owl can use a grenade or the electric charge in his suit to wipe out the bad guys. He uses a combination of martial arts and the latest gadgets to bring down the goons. But mind you, use your special moves wisely — each of those attacks will drain out your energy, which is seen on a meter in the corner of the screen.
Though the game might be disappointing for those who are looking forward to reliving the comic or the movie, the visuals are quite impressive. You’ll have to constantly think of your moves and how to use the powers of your character as you go along, which makes it interesting. The dramatic lighting, effective animation, and a great voice acting supported by an amazing story-line provides you a perfect detailed environment to play. As you go along, the enemies that get into your way will be able to block your basic attacks, so you will have to use different combos. These combos are way nastier than the basic attacks you use. Finishers are what you will enjoy the most, especially Rorschach’s, when he just keeps hitting the unconscious body of the hooligan.
On the downside, the game is short and might get a little repetitive with just punching and beating around. You can use the split-screen and fight as a team with your partner but there is no online cooperative mode which is again a huge disappointment.

XBOX 360 – Watchmen: the end is nigh features:
